DescriptionA female Black-breasted Fruithunter sits on its camouflaged mossy nest situated in the crown of a tree fern. Endemic to the mountains of Borneo, this enigmatic bird is thought to be related to the thrushes (Turdidae) but is distinct enough to be placed in its own genus. Nests are rarely seen, the first-ever observation being in 2012.
